No it is not taken in the hand or forhead yet but they are comming close to figuring it out.

9A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: "If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, 10he, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. 11And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name."

been awhile

So I've been so busy lately! That's why I haven't been on and haven't posted anything in awhile. I have been working so much it's crazy. But thanks for your prayers and thanks for your support!!! Love you guys!

My Devotional

I was reading my Devotional the other day. It is a 365 daily bible reading devotional. It is called "The One Year Worship The King Devotional" by Chris Tiegreen. I love this devotional! But this one section I had to share. It really got me thinking:

April 5
A Deep Desire
"Suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come." Malachi 3:1

In Word
Most of us don't understand our own desires. We all want fulfillment, and we think we know how to get it, but we don't. Nearly everything we expect to be fulfilling is a temporary fix. It may scratch some itches, move us deeply, or even satisfy our longings temporarily, but ultimately it all falls short. Deep down, we want to be fulfilled completely and forever. We've never come up with a solution for that.

God has. Malachi prophesied that the messenger of the covenant, the Messiah, was actually the desire of our hearts. He is the Lord we were seeking, the One we delight in. And, Malachi says, He will come.

Impure hearts like ours don't necessarily find that comforting. We want our desires to be fulfilled, and to a person, we all seem to think that God doesn't quite understand our desires. Our assumption is that He has a great plan for us- as He defines "great"-but that it will be harder or more noble or less satisfying than we want it to be. Somehow we got the message that God's plan is best, but not fulfilling-or fun.

We're wrong. We didn't get that message from God or His Word. In fact, it sounds suspiciously like a lie once told by a serpent in a garden. "There are better things than what God has offered you," the lie says. But according to God and the prophets He inspires, we have a destiny that will thrill us from our head to our toes.

In Deed
When we understand that, we become willing participants in the process. We understand what the refinery produces, so we submit ourselves to the Refiner Himself. We take humanity's biggest hang-up - the desires of the fallen heart- and let them be purified into something that matches the heart of the Father. And we embrace the most fulfilling promise ever given; the One whom we seek will come.

~Every promise God has ever made finds it's fulfillment in Jesus. ~

Which way are you going? Your's or God's?

So I'm at the point where I forget to have my "God and Me" time everyday. I have been so busy the past two weeks that I haven’t really focused on God like I should. On Sundays and Wednesdays I do when I'm at church, but when I am home or at work, I'm so busy that it's hard. I read my bible every night and really get into that but what about prayer. Why do we allow something so important to fade away in our day to day lives? Prayer is one of the most important parts of our walk with God but sometimes we get so consumed with life that we forget to talk to the one that gave us our life. I am defiantly preaching to myself here I know but I know also that I'm not the only one with this problem. We get so distant from God. I can't remember if I read this in the Bible or in the book that I just finished reading (In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day) because I was so deep into both when I was reading both lol, but it talks about how just a sigh can mean so much. We don't always have the words to say when we pray but just as sigh can mean so much to God. A sigh can express so much of what is going on in our hearts and God can understand that one little sigh. Sometimes I find myself just giving up on my prayer or making it a short prayer because I do not know what to say. But now that I've read that, it makes me think. It's ok not to know what to say. To just sit back and sigh and listen. I think sometimes we don't know what to say because God just wants us to listen. Maybe we should stop just asking God for what we want and complaining to God about how bad our lives are going all the time. I think God just wants us to sit back and listen to what HE wants sometimes. WOW!!! lol! But just sitting back and listening can do so much. To be still and know he is God (Newsboys song). Know He is there. Know that He can hear your heart better than you can and knows your true desires. He knows the future. When we sit back and listen to Him, He can tell us so much! He knows what the future holds. He knows how our lives will be from now until forever. So why don’t we stop living by our own visions for at least five minuets and listen to him. He already knows what's going to happen. So let Him direct you. Instead of running the race blind and in a hurry, try to slow down for five minuets at least and listen to his directions. So save yourself some wasted time. We feel like we have no time to stop and pray but if we would just realize that if we would listen to Him, our time wouldn't be wasted. Ok example.... your running a race, you come to a division in the road. You’re in a hurry to win and to get the race over with so you just run down the path to the left because it looks nice. It looks paved and straight. But as you run further down this road, it turns out that it has tons of pot holes, rocks, and takes you so far out of the race that you get lost. If we back up to the parting in the road and look forward, we would have seen a "sign" at the division. That “sign" is God. If we would have just stopped for five minuets and asked God which way to go, instead of depending on our own view, we wouldn't have to run all the way back and start over from the division. We would have gone to the right. So to wrap this up, God is more than just reading your bible and saying that you believe in Him and thinking about Him from time to time when it’s convenient to you. Some of that stuff is important. It defiantly is. God speaks to us through His word also but to me, the most important thing in your walk with God is your RELATIONSHIP with him. How do we build our relationship? Through prayer. Through seeking him. Through learning his voice. How do we learn his voice? By just listening. As we do that, the other stuff will come along. We won’t always have a bible around but if we know his voice, we can always here it. So remember to take time and just listen. God loves you and wants you to go down the right path because that path will bring you closer to him. He has your path already planed for you. So take some time and just listen to him. It may seem like you don’t have the time, but if you do, it will actually save you time in the future that you can’t see. There is always time for God.

Slow Down Time

Ok,
So I was praying last night and I began to look over my life. I realised that I rush through everything I do. I rush to work, I rush home, I rush through lunch, I rush to church. I'm just always rushing. It's like I'm in a race. I finally slowed down last night and prayed. Like really prayed. I have been saved now for about two months. I pray all the time, but I have only sat down and totally stopped running long enough to just talk to God a couple of times. I mean I worship him on Sunday at church, while I'm driving I pray quick little prayers, when I'm listening to the radio I sing to him, and when I am at work and before I go to bed I pray for the things that are fighting me in my life or I pray for the problems that I have. But I hardly just sit back and stop and just have a conversation with God. More than prayer. Actually just sitting back and saying, "Ok God, Let's talk". I did that last night.
The past two weeks I have been at a stand still with God. I don't feel him as strongly as I did when I first really gave my life to him. I have had a tearing at my heart about this. I know that God is still there of course. He's always there, but I don't feel as close. I think that that is because many times we let the "race" that we are running, called life, get in the way of our relationship with God. Just like with any other relationship, if we do not take time out of our busy schedule to build them, they fall apart and we loose the connection that we used to have. It's the same with God. Back to my "revelation" last night lol. I stopped. I kept trying to read a book and I just couldn't get into it. I tried and tried but I just felt like there was something else I needed to do. I knew what it was. So I started to pray. As I prayed I began to just talk to God. This was just a catch up conversation. I didn't list off my problems or my fears or worries. I just talked to God. Told him how I felt about our relationship. How I felt distant from him now and that I don't want to give up and loose Him. I just kept praying and praying and then God "spoke" to me. I realised that with all the running I have been doing, I haven't stopped long enough just to love on Him. To just sit back and listen to Him. To admire all that he is doing for me. I have been to focused on running. To focused living the right "Christian" life, focused on my job, my friends, my goals, and school. I haven't been focusing on what He really wants. Just what I think he wants. So last night, I prayed," God, help me to slow down. Help me to do things in your time. Not my'n'. Help me to stop assuming what you want and help me to listen to know what you actually want." This has always been a problem with me. I rush things. I have to get things done and get them done now. I have very little patience. I know God has been working on me with this, but this problem is what makes me fall. I rush because I want to be who I am suppose to be. I build up my life the way I think it should be. But if you look back at that sentence, you'll notice I said I. That's the problem. I'm running at my speed. What I think is best, what I think is suppose to happen. All of this because I will not slow down and let God fix me. I won't stop and let God make my life. I feel he's doing it to slow so I try to speed it up and end up falling. This time I'm going to try my best not to do this. I am going to have to sit back and let God take control and follow his timing. Follow what he wants me to become. My problem is that I don't sit back long enough to listen to God's solutions and God's plans. I let everything else get in the way. We need to start taking more time out in our life and reflect on how it's going. Is it really, truly, going in God's direction, or are we getting lazy and just doing it our way to hurry and get it done. God's ways aren't always easy, but in the end, all the work is worth it. The outcome is also A Lot greater when we do it his way. So I'm going to start praying that God takes control of my life. That I have more patience and wait on his timing and pray that I live the life and become the person that the originally had planned for me. So that in the end, I don't look back and see all the missed steps. The steps that I should have taken and that would have been better it I had only waited a little longer and listened to God.
